As EMS Providers, we find ourselves dealing with patients, both pediatric and adult, that have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This course helps further your knowledge to help you become a better provider for these patients

You will learn:
What is Autism and some common misconceptions about Autism
Identify methods that are helpful when dealing with ASD Patients
Understand the needs of autistic patients, especially pediatric patients

Who is this course for?

This course can be taken by any provider who seeks to gain further understanding in the topic of death and EMS. While this training is specifically targeted at currently licensed EMT/AEMT/Paramedics or EMT/AEMT/Paramedic students, any member of the healthcare field can take this course.

Instructional Methods

During this course, we utilize a blend of videos, written documents, case studies and an exam at the end of the course to ensure understanding

Meet the instructor

Kyle has been in fire and EMS services since 2013 when he started as a volunteer Firefighter in Northeast Georgia. He started working for inter facility transport services in 2014 as an EMT and completed his paramedic training in 2015. He has worked in both urban and rural Fire/EMS systems. He also holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership and Healthcare management where his capstone project was called "Ethics and Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest." He is currently pursuing his PhD in Higher Education at Liberty University.
